Q: Do you have a waiting list/how soon do we need to register our child?
A: It is always advisable to visit any provision before paying a registration fee to secure a place. Our nursery is very busy and we would advise that you visit asap and pay a £50 reservation fee. At this point in time, we do have sessions available for each age range, however, only at certain times during the week. Available sessions change daily.
Q: Toilet training?
A: If children are not yet toilet trained we will work in close partnership with parents to successfully achieve this goal.
Q: Is there a minimum number of sessions that you require?
A: Our minimum is two sessions (a morning or an afternoon counts as one session and a full day as two).
Q: Do toddlers have to be toilet trained?
A: No. We understand that children develop at their own pace, and if they are not toilet trained when they start nursery, we will work in partnership with parents.
Q: Will I receive any help with my fees?
A: There are many ways in which you may receive help with your fees. Please look at our useful links section, and/or give us a ring and we will be able to advise you/give you appropriate telephone numbers/contacts.
Q: Do you take children on a temporary basis/sessional basis?
A: We do not offer children sessions unless they attend permenantly. We would however consider looking after a child for a short period of time, for example, if their carer had to go into hospital and recover afterwards.
Q: Would you be able to look after a child on alternate weeks/days?
A: At this time, parents have to pay for their child’s booked sessions every week (whether they attend or not) as attending alternate weeks prevents this session being available to other children.
Q: Would you look after a child with special needs?
A: There are many children who have special needs (official figures quote 1 in 10 children as having additional needs) who would greatly benefit from attending our nursery. We would look at each case on an individual basis. Our main priority would be that our nursery as a whole could meet the child’s needs.
Q: If I take my child on holiday, do I still have to pay?
A: Children pay for 52 weeks of the year as this is how our fee structure operates. Children still pay for their place even if they are absent as we cannot offer this place to another child. We will revise fees if a child is seriously ill.
